Finally, got a chance to share my experience with the evaluation of Uttarakhand Technical University degree via WES. Before we begin here is basics about UTU and WES.
Uttarakhand Technical University established in 2005. Now there are more than 30,000 enrolled in different colleges and 8 institutions.
On the other hand, World Education Services (WES) is an organization that provides credential evaluations. It’s for international students and immigrants who need to study or work in the U.S. and Canada.
In my case, I did graduation from Uttaranchal Institute of Technology in 2015. At that time, it was affiliated to UTU, but now it’s under Uttaranchal University. I di 4 years BTech in Computer Science from UTU.
Following are the steps that you need to follow for credential evaluations. Thing is the process is quite similar in all the Universities. The only difference is some university takes a lot of time to issues your official academic documents. That makes the process longer and frustrating.
How I did UTU degree Evaluation via WES 2019
Following are the steps which I followed for evaluation of my credential:
Step 1: Create an account on wes.org – the Very first step is to create an account. For this, you need basic information such as University name, year of passing, name of course, etc. Under your profile you will see the following details:
Applicant’s Full Name:
Date of Birth:
Your Name on Credential:
2: Submit application: As you submit your application, you will get a reference number.
3: Credential Evaluation Payment: Third step is to make payment to WES for evaluation.
4: Send Documents: The most important part of the evalution process is to send correct documents to WES asap. We are here talking about UTU, Dehradun. In my case, I requested my friend to visit my university for me, as I am in Canada. I emailed him all scanned copy of documents results and copy of degree. He printed all the documents and visited the university campus. He told what he came for to guy sitting on the first desk, fortunately, the guy is aware of all the process.
So, he verifies all documents and keep a copy of the degree certificate and return the yearly result. In UTU issuing of the transcript in a quick process. If you are lucky, you can get them in a few hours but the next day for sure. There you have two options, first either let them post it for you or just get sealed envolve and post yourself from nearest post office itself. If they post you have to pay Transcript Fee + delivery charges (Rs 1300+ India Post). In short, GO to UNIVERSITY, provide them with details. Rest they will handle.
